Cooking...
I don't normally cook everyday of the week when I'm working, but I'm on vacation this week so I've been cooking everyday. I really enjoy cooking...most of the time. Lol. I'm always watching Food Network and experimenting with the recipes on their website (which so far have come out yummy). I love hosting and entertaining and eventually want to go to Culinary school to really learn on a professional level because I enjoy it so much. FH has never expressed whether it was important for him for his future wife to know how to cook or not, but then again he was lucky that I know how to so we never really spoke about it. This got me thinking, do any of you ladies cook and how important was it (if at all) to fh that you knew how to?

I enjoy cooking, I just don't like the clean up! lol. I'm sure it was important to FH to know his wife could cook (though he has never mentioned it). I am traditional in many ways and feel that as a wife I should be able to cook well, clean, iron etc. Just as I expect him to rake leaves, mow the lawn, shovel snow, and take the garbage out.

I'm awful at cooking. I wish I wasn't. I so badly want to learn but I have no idea what I'm doing. It doesn't help that FH is the pickiest eater in all of mankind. He's always nice when I do cook something and says he loves it but I think that's mainly just to encourage me to keep trying lol. I definitely think he wishes I cooked more, saving for the wedding has definitely forced me to cook more, but I just keep making the same few things I know how to make lol

I really enjoy cooking and so does FH so we are really great about taking turns to make our meals and help with the clean up. I know that he loves to cook and he's great at it, so I don't know how important it would have been for me to be a good cook too, but I think he enjoys it :)

I love cooking, and this was immportant to FH. I do not like to BBQ which is nice because FH loves doing that. We have a nice system in the summer i prepare the marinades for the meat and the sides and he grills it! I also love baking (not helping me get thinner for my wedding however!)

I love to cook. I actually told FH the other day I should have just gone to cooking school...he said I didn't need it. Lol. I do every holiday and I cook most days of the week. FH cooked me breakfast on my 30th birthday, lets just say I came downstairs to bacon frying on the stove in one of. My cake pans....

I'm with you! Once I finish grad school I'm devoting myself to learning how to cook. My grandmother is a phenomenal cook and taught me some techniques to get me going. I really just need to practice, but I'm dreading all of food I'll inevitably ruin!

I have the ability to cook well but I hate doing it. I'm more of a baker but Fh isn't a sweets person.Fh is an awesome cook. His mom taught him when he was young so that 'he would make a girl really happy one day' so it wasn't that important to him if I cooked or not.
When we move I'm together we are going to have the rule my parents did. Whoever gets home first cooks dinner.

I LOVE to cook. I'm Italian, so it's like in my genes. I'm old fashion and cook dinner every single night. When we go out to dinner it's like a holiday for me!FH can't cook. Or at least I don't think he can. I won't let him - he makes 'bachelor food' (tunamelts, buffalo chicken, peanutbutter and jelly). When he does make me a tuna melt I watch him like a hawk to make sure he's doing it right lol.

I can cook but don't really have the time after work to prepare a full meal and FH understands. If we have free time on the weekends then I will cook a good meal. FH is very helpful and sometimes cooks dinner for me too.

I am the worst in the kitchen. Thankfully, FH is a better cook than I am so I guess he will be cooking dinner every might once we are married. I would like to learn but I feel like my brain shuts off when I'm in the kitchen and I have no idea what I'm doing.

I love to cook! I find it's a major stress reliever. I constantly going on Pinterest to find new recipes and ideas. My knew kick is using my crock pot! Best invention ever! What my friends and I do, as cheesy as I sounds is that we have cookoffs. One friend does a casserole cookoff and the other does an appetizer cookoff. We have about 10 couples. It is a lot of fun and the winners get prizes. I find that it's more fun than having a big dinner party. More relaxed with a bit of competition!
As for my FH he has a maximum of 3 things he can make. He likes to make pasta and tomato sauce but my sauce is much better in my opinion. I am also old fashioned so I try to cook dinner every night. The FH doesn't expect it but I don't hear him complaining much either.
This cooking convo has me thinking about a debate that I have with the FH. If I cook, he should be the one doing the dishes! ( I hate cleaning)

I enjoy cooking, even though I'm not very good. I can follow a recipe, but not much more than that. We both work nights, so we tend to not cook much. And also, working in a restaurant, if I can have someone else cook for me, clearly that's my choice. FH doesn't care too much, and he's a phenomenal cook, so we pretty much cook about once a week, and it's usually him doing most f it. Although, last night I cooked sausage and peppers and onions with Brussels sprouts (my fave) and couscous. It was delicious!!

Yum! I love sausage and peppers! I made some arroz con gandules (rice with green pigeon peas) and pork chops (because FH can eat these everyday) last night. A dish you can order at any typical spanish food restaurant.

I love my crockpot!!! The cookoff idea sounds like fun although not too many of my friends like to cook.

I really enjoy cooking. I never cooked until I met FH. I kinda told him I was great at it when we met ( a little white lie, but always a selling point for a guy). Turns out, I really AM good at it! I love finding new things to cook.Am I the only one who finds that it takes WAY longer to cook things than normal? I feel like my mom can make an amazing dish in 20 minutes, and the same thing would take me 2 hours to make. She just says I need to get the hang of it..it's like magic, I swear!
