I know how to cook but I'd like to request cooking lessons to learn how to roll sushi. Has anyone ever taken any classes on Long Island or in Queens? I'm looking for a one time class hopefully, not like a school or anything. TIA

Re: Cooking classes on Long Island?
I was looking into cooking classes a while ago too. The two places I was thinking of checking out were:
http://www.vikingcookingschool.com/ in garden city
and
http://www.alacartecs.com/ in Lynbrook.

theres a cooking school in syosset, and they probably offer the recreation courses where you go once.
but i do know for a fact that the culinary institute in nyc does recreation classes and i believe they offer 3 different types of sushi classes. the last time i checked it was somewhere between 80-100 for a class and its like 1 hour and i think they offer it on tuesdays or on the weekends. im not to sure. but i looked into it because they offer so mannnny types of cooking classes and the class times are really flexible
.. ok i lied. i looked it up online an its 4.5 hours long the sushi class. heres the link if youre interested
Thanks girls. I'm definitely going to check all of those places out!

Suffolk County College and Boces offers specialty cooking courses for people, they're not credit couses or anything. It's actually something FH &I were thinking about doing together.
