what cookware r u girls registering for and why?? whats the best? all clad..stainless steel ceramic and why! please help! xoxo

I registered for stainless steel. I have two nonstick frying pans but I wanted everything to be stainless. Supposedly, stainless steel heats up equally or something. I dont remember why i picked it but I know there was a reason lol.

saldy i don tknow much about cooking but fh does and he said calphalon was one of the best so that is what we registered for! we registered for the stainless steel set bc he said you get more use out of it (pans can go from the stove into the oven). We do have 2 non stick frying pans but the rest is stainless.

depends what you want to do with it!
cast iron is good, but HEAVY and unless it is seasoned well things stick.
enameled cast iron dutch ovens (like le cruset) are fantastic for slow braises
stainless pans are good for getting things brown
nonstick is good for when you don't want things to stick (der...)
i have some of each. the majority of my pans are calphalon - they discontinued the line (mine are 8 years old or so) but have replaced it with the contemporary line
