Chateau Briand

I have heard that the food at Chateau Briand is excellent. If this is your concern about this place, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Chateau Briand

I've been to a couple of wedding at CB, and agree that the food is very good. I've heard good things about all of the Scotto Bros. reception halls..

Chateau Briand...I am there on 8/3/2002

You cannot go wrong with CB. I went to see CH, but it was not me. The food there was good too. I prefer CB, it is awesome and they know how to do a wedding. I have the Normandy and the Europa. Happy planning

Chateau Briand Defintely!!!!

There are defintely not on the same level. My wedding was held there and it was wonderful. My cousin wedding was held at Coral House, and after my wedding, they admitted that there were no comparison between the two.

Coral House or Chateau Briand?Loooong

Try doing a search on both places on this site. You will get many points of view from people who have already had their weddings (a key point), as well as people who have attended other people's weddings at both places. This was actually the deciding factor in why I picked Coral House: very few negative comments, and minor ones at that. I checked the Better Business Bureau's site and they had a clean record...not a single complaint. The factors that made me decide not to go with CB was the coming up through the floor thing, which I am sure I could have avoided, but just not my style; a comment in a past post that someone's gift card was stolen in the bathroom, and the manager or maitre D' did nothing about the situation (not that I think he could have done anything specific) but did nothing to calm the person whose gift was stolen. Just gave me the impression they didn't care. WHen I brought up the few negatives about CH to the manager I am dealing with at CH, not only was she very upset that there were ANY negatives mentioned, but she assured us that she would be there the evening of our reception, and handle any problems personally, and our maitre D' will do the same. I was impressed with the integrity with which we were handled when we brought up these issues, despite the fact that they were minor in the grand scheme of what I have read on this board has happened to other people at different sites. I actually received the best advice from the CH manager: if there is a situation you or your groom see developing or happening, you should notify the facility staff to handle it immediately. Her responsiveness to our concerns, combined with the food we tasted, the room we love, their clean BBB record, and the way the entire staff had treated us the 2 times we were there prior to signing the contract, made us decide on CH. I think each place has its own feel...one flashy and one cozy. You should go with the place that suits your personality, and that of your FH. As far as food...it is in your best interest to go taste for yourself. It is YOUR opinion that matters most when dealing with your guests. [How many times has a bride posted how gorgeous her gown is, and when you check out the link you think it is ok but nothing spectacular?] Hear what you're told here, but you should ultimately taste, see, hear, feel everything for yourself.

I tasted the food tonight at CB and it was very good. I choose CB because if it rains on my wedding day there are plenty of indoor photo locations which CH did not offer, something to think about. I thank you ladies for your comments, they were very helpful.

Chateau Briand?Loooong

As mentioned above, I had my wedding at Chateau Briand. While we getting ready to start the ceremony, one of the employees approached my mother with a bracelet that one of my guest dropped. My mom had put in it her bag and had completely forgotten about it. The week after the wedding, my aunt was at my house, and she was mentioned to my mom that she had lost her braclet at the wedding. My mom then returned the braclet to her. I must say that I really impressed with that because that employee could have kept it. Instead he turned it over to my mom. In terms of locking up the bridal party's possession. You have a bridal suite at Chateau with a lock. I was in my cousin's wedding at Coral House. We had a huge bridal suite, but it was opened. I personally didn't like that.
