Coral House or Windows on the Lake

Im recently engaged! Yay! Trying to plan an Oct. 2007 wedding. We are going to look at Windows on the Lake and Coral House next week. Any comments? Anyone know the price range for each place??

Does Windows on the Lake offer Inclusive Packages? I read that they do??

I went to a party at the Coral house YEARS ago. I remember it being nice though. I've never been to Windows on the Lake, but I read in another post that its not actually on the lake, your guests have to cross the street. I think their prices are reasonable though. Have you looked anywhere else yet?

Windows on the Lake is beautiful and they put on some production for VH. The food is great and they are reasonably priced. Congrats!!!

I went to Windows on the Lake few years ago and also remember the Cocktail hour to be such a display! And the DJ (I think it was the House DJ) was excellent!

i chose coral house for july 2007 wedding. they gave me a great price, including food, tax and gratuities. they also included floral centerpieces... we went for food tasting a few days ago and although it didn't blow us away, the service was great. i'm having about 100 guests and the room they gave us was pretty big with windows overlooking the lake. it had high ceilings and a good setup. they let us take pics while they set up for a wedding so we can prepare for out big day. oh yeah, they're also giving us johnny walker black for free, as per FH's request... if you want any info on prices, i have sat evenings for july, aug, and sept 07. FM me. also, i can also send you pics i took.

I WENT TO THE CORAL HOUSE AND THEY WERE GONNA GIVE ME A REALLY GOOD DEAL! THEY INCLUDED CENTERPIECES, TOP SHELF, GREAT PRICES!!! YOU SHOULD DEF LOOK INTO THEM MORE......EVERYONE WAS NICE AND THE FOOD WAS PRETTY GOOD!!

I WENT TO WINDOWS ON THE LAKE FOR A BRIDAL SHOWER AND IT WAS PRETTY GOOD, ALSO, BUT I DONT HAVE ANY INFO ON IT!

I WOULD CHOOSE THE CORAL HOUSE THOUGH INSTEAD OF WINDOW

They just redid the whole outside and pond area at the Coral House looks very pretty

I went to a expo at Windows on the Lake yesterday and I was really impressed with their selection of food and presentation. I am seriously considering booking them for my Sept 07 wedding so I was looking really hard yesterday. Also, keep in mind that Windows holds only 1 wedding at a time. I don't believe the same holds true for Coral house. That might help you decide between the two.

CORAL HOUSE DOES HOLD MORE THEN ONE WEDDING AT A TIME...THEY HAVE 3 ROOMS, BUT MY SIS HAD HER WEDDING THERE AND THERE WAS ANOTHER WEDDING GOING ON, BUT IT DIDNT CAUSE ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL!!!

My personal experience:

I attended a sweet 16 in the month of June and it was total chaos in there!!

I am sorry but I kid you not all rooms were in use- so you know what that means.

Food even though it was a sweet 16 wasn't the greatest.

I chose Coral House. I loved the food tasting and so did my FH and parents. I Love the Americana room . Coral House also have large bridal suites unlike some places that I've been to. So far it seems that I will be the only bride there for my date. No other functions

I have never been to Windows on the Lake but I have been to a couple of weddings at the Coral House and everything was beautiful!

Let me preface by saying that I have never been to a wedding at the Coral House, but I have been to one at Windows...

FH's cousin had her reception there in June. The cocktail hour room was a bit tight and definitely not enoughtseating. I felt really cramped. In the main room- same problem- rather small. The food was okay- nothing spectacular though. The DJ was great though!
