CoralHouse

I got a quote for coralhouse on the phone yesterday. I want a friday in May. I was so estatic when i heard the price they wanted because it was so much lower than anything else i've looked at. My dream is CLM!!! But since we will be paying for it i'm trying to be financially practical. Its so hard though when you see such beautiful places. So to stop blabbering on, what do you guys think of the coralhouse, i don't want to settle for something but is the price a steal for this place, or am i going to be paying for what i get? Thanks for any advice and reviews you guys have!

Re: CoralHouse

I live down the block from the Coral House and the place is ALWAYS packed. there are events there every night of the week. My FH and I looked there and got a great deal there, but ended up booking with the Stewart Manor Country Club... you might want to look there. We are on a tight budget too and we got a price that was out of this world. even a little cheaper than the Coral House.

I've only been to one wedding at the Coral House and it was GREAT...the food was good and the food at the tasting FH and I got was good too. IN high school, the Coral House hosted a lot of our sports dinners and stuff and the food wasn't that great... but again, I am sure for a wedding, it will be much different.

GOOD LUCK!

I checked out the Coral House and they were nice but I didn't like how you could see cars driving by around the little pond outside, for some reason that bothered me, FH didn't understand. I just didn't want to be sitting in this gorgeous room and have a car drive behind me.

I have heard great things about their food.

My wedding was at the Coral House.I loved it there! They really exceeded my expectations and to be honest they were not my first choice, I wanted my reception at Jericho Terrace but dh and I knew that we would get a lot more for our money at the Coral House which is what we needed since we were inviting 360 people. The bridal attendents are great, I have been married for five months and people still rave about the food. They were by far the best vendor to deal with. LOVE LOVE LOVE them, I actually have my review up if you want to see Coral House in action.http://www.liweddings.com/chat/topic-290518-1.html

Good Luck!

well I guess I'm going against the majority, but I was at an event there and the food really wasn't the greatest. But if you love it go for it I'm sure it will be really special no matter where you pick!!

You may also want to check out the Swan Club, Jericho Terrace, Chateau Briand - their prices can be really reasonable also, especially in off peak times.

My sister got married at the Coral House a few years ago and it was really nice, we had a really great time. I believe that they re-did the grounds there since then and it looks really nice.

Re: CoralHouse

I just booked the Coral House on 4/1/06 for my wedding in 2007. I had heard good things about the place and when we went there and had a food tasting I was impressed.

Remember everyone won't be able to be pleased but as long as you and your FH are, that's all that matters!!!!!!

FH and I are getting married there in 163 days

We heard iffy things about it on these boards and I didn't even want to go look at it after that... but then I realized everyone has their own opinions and taste... and honestly, we took 8 people with us to the food tasting (which wasn't a special food tasting for us - it was food that they were serving at the wedding that night), and everything was superb.

That, and the price (reasonable, but far from CHEAP), sold us on the place. Not to mention the gorgeous rooftop deck, and possibility of getting married on the lake!!

FM me if you have any questions at all :) and let mek now what you thought of it when you visited

Re: CoralHouse

I don't know anything about the Coral house except that my FH's ex wif eis getting remarried there next November. From what she told me the place is nice and affordable. If you don't want to 'settle' Look around a bit more. I got an UNBELIEVABLE deal at Floral Terrace, one of my BMS got married there in 2004, I went there with her and got the same deal she got (I don't know if they would do it again they warned me not to say anything to poeple) But their prices are very reasonable. I would look around if you're unsuare.
