Cork Idea for my wine themed wedding..need honost opinions!

Ok so I've been having my entire family save wine bottle corks since we got engaged because I wanted to make them into placecard holders...fastforward to a year later and I think I'm crazy to think I could make these things! I'm so not a DIYer and I just don't have the patience and I don't think they will turn out at all how I want them. I found really cute placecards so I'm not worried about those now, but I still want to do something with all the corks.
Do you think it would look wierd if I got those low floating candle water vases and put a floating candle and then a bunch of floating corks in it on the tables? I would put 2 of the bowls on each table around our centerpiece. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this how I'm picturing it in my head, but let me know what you think. Thanks!

and then added two large wine glasses filled with maybe red floating candles and the corks all over the table?

I didn't read all of the ideas, but you could put corks in tall glass cylinders (fill them up) and put them on your placecard table...that would tie in with the grape placecard holders...

You could also just have the corks on a table or in a nice container with a permanent marker and have guest write a word on it that they think describes you/love/ or marriage and then collect them all in a big glass bowl or something - then you could have a keepsake too. . this might be ridiculous too but could be fun. .

My kitchen is wine themed....and I have a large glass vase (its probably 12inches high and 8 inches wide) and its full of corks and in the middle is a large pillar candle.

why dont you buy cheap frames and glue the corks around the frame?
