I have a longline strpless bra. I was too scared that if I got a corset I would not be able to breathe, but the funny thing is that I want one for the HM.

Re: corset

although my dress type is usually worn with a corset i decided i wasnt wearing one - after many years attending the renfaire i know that being in one all day long can be pretty uncomfortable - i figured i wanted to be able to move freely and not look stiff - so i axed the corset and am just going with a fitted slip ( bra built in ) to be more comfortable
it really is hwo you would feel about it - if you havent worn one before i really suggest you wear it one day to work - after having it on all day you will know if you can function with it on -
let us knwo what you decide

Re: corset

I am wearing a corset, and my wedding dress is boned and laced up the back.

I decided to go with the corset because I LOVE how I look in one. Scarlett O'Hara waist anyone?? They give me bigger breasts and a tiny waist... how can I go wrong? Granted, if you are not used to one, you might want to try it out first. I personally enjoy how they feel (like a strong, close hug), but they are a bit, ah... tight.

My corstier said there would be no problem wearing the dress and corset together.

Re: corset

I tried on my dress with what the bridal salon called a 'Brasellette' I think that is the same as a long line bra.
I will try & find a pic for you. That's what I plan to but unless the bra ladies direct me otherwise.

It sucked in my tummy & controled my boobs, and generally made the dress look better.

The one I tied was really long, with garter strap hooks, like this one

but there are also ones the don't go as low, but are still considered long line.

I think it depends how on the size of the 'ladies' I have a Maggie Sottero so it is like it's a corset already - boned and laced up the back but I am chesty so I am wearing a corset underneath - and as someone else posted - it does wonders for the chest!!

Re: corset

GAH! I take it back!

I went for my final fitting yesterday with my corset underneath, adn although it looked awesome and felt fine - the top of the corset portruded about an inch and a half over the top of the dress!!

I have to find a dressmaker to alter it! In fact, i think i am going to make a seperate post...
