corset dress brides

are you wearing a bra with your dress?

I haven't tried the dress with a bra, the lady said that it would be fine without one but I just think it would hold me in more if I had a bra on (I have a large chest)

I'm not a big chested person but I'm still going to wear one...Just to make myself feel alil more secure in that sense..

I am wearing one. Yesterday I went to Macy's and bought one of those ones that cover your tummy area as well. It's made by Lilyette and fit so well I could I barely tell I had one on. It also gives me a better shape. Some of the ones I tried on I could barely breathe in. I just don't feel as comfy not wearing one.

Definitely!! I think I'd feel weird (and less confident) without one!! I bought a longline bra to suck me in a bit more too...my diet hasn't been doing as well these past few weeks

I am big chested (normally a 40DD) so I would feel really weird not wearing a bra in the dress.
I want the extra support, but don't need a heavy duty long line bra.

I wound up buying an ivory colored mid line bra from Lane Bryant - it does not go all the way to the waist, but ends about two inches above my belly button - for only 9.99 on clearance.
The seamstress is attaching the bra to the dress with velcro.

My advice, try the dress with and without the bra, see what makes you more comfortable and what looks better.

I am a big chested girl. I wear between a size 32 DD and 32F. My dress is corset back and meanwhile they told me they thought I would have to wear a bra b/c the cups only hold up to a size C or D, they were suprised to find out that it held my girls too. I think it is b/c I have a small back. To be honest with you, I feel so secure in my dress without a bra and with the corset I am not even worried about anything happening where as they fall out or something. The reason why you are so secure is b/c you can make the corset as tight as you want it as with a zipper you cannot.

Did they mention to you about doing cups?

Here's a pic of what my corset dress looks like with me and no bra.

HTH..

ETA: Not sure what type of dress you have whether it has straps or strapless but now that I think about it maybe if my dress was strapless I would wear a bra for extra support.

My dress is strapless, and I am wide across the back.

I'm wearing a long line bra. I am a little on the large chested side & I don't feel comfortable without the extra support. Plus, the long line smoothes out my flubby belly.

ETA: My dress doesn't lace up in the back, but it is a boned corset top just with a zipper back.

thanks ladies. Here is me in the sample dress, about 3 sizes too small and with just a regular bra on but the straps tucked in.

I think I will get one just in case cause now that I think about it, i did feel more secure when I tried the sample on.

I did not wear one...I had cups sewn in....I felt a little claustrophobic with a bra on AND the corset!

Sorry, I just edited my post above to say that if my dress was a strapless I probably would use a bra for extra support. B/c my dress has straps I guess that make me feel a little more secure too.

I am not. I tried my dress with and without and it looked better without.

I wore one and I am soooo glad I did. It just shapes you better IMO and I was not pulling my dress up or adjusting it all night.

What kind of bra did you get, a long line or just a regular strapless bra?

I had cups sewn into the dress!

I am a 36dd and I wore a long line bra for my wedding. I just wasn't comfortable not wearing one since my dress was strapless.

Im a 34DD and I guess I am in the the minority because I am not wearing one. When my dress is laced up there is no way they are going anywhere(and I don't even have cups sewn in!) and these dresses are so hot by themselves that I didn't want anything extra to make it worse.
It's all about how you are comfortable I would say try it both ways and go with what feels best.

I am big chested anbd I planned on wearing a bra. My dress was strapless and corset back. As I was at my fitting the seamstress recommended I just try my dress w/out a bra and it fit so much better.
