Corsette Dress
I saw Jen asking about the Corsette and it made me start to think about my fitting last Saturday. I am wearing a dress that ties in the back I guess you would call it a corsette. The people fitting me had trouble tying it tight enough and we had to get someone from upstairs to come down and get me into the top so that I was decent enough to wear the dress if you get my drift. Now I am worried that the bridal assistant where I am getting married won't know how to get me tied into my dress and I only have 30 mins to get dressed before the photographer comes. Does anyone else worry about not having someone know how to get them into the dress? My mom was there but she was clueless. I am going to have to bring my MOH and hope she can figure it out!!!

Re: Corsette Dress
My dress is a Maggie Sottero Corsette dress and the bridal shop recomends that I bring someone with me to my final fitting to learn how to get me into the dress. Any idea whay yours was so difficult to close? It should not be that hard.

Re: Corsette Dress
Mine is a Maggie too! Apparently the woman had no idea that you have to actually pull it up so that you are actually in it and then tie it tightly. She was tying it too loose. I am going to try to bring someone who has a clue with me or I am going to be very stressed and lose it that night and that would NOT be good!

Re: Corsette Dress
maybe there is a way that they can put a hook 'n eye (sp?) on the inside so that you can make sure it remains tight, etc. ... just a thought

Re: Corsette Dress
I don't know where you got your dress, but I have heard other people whose bridal stores had offered (for a fee, of course!!) to send an employee to you to help you into your dress, and do the bustle, etc. on the day of your wedding. Maybe in your case you could use someone like that.

Re: Corsette Dress
Do you know if Lillettes is one of those that would send any employee? I do have a bridal assistant but have no idea who she is and if she will have any clue and I don't want to find that out 30 mins before pics! The idea about the hook and eye was great too, thanks wishcandy!

Re: Corsette Dress
I had 2 bridal assistant sand I thought they wouldn't know how to tie up my dress in the back or had my bustle which was invisible, My MOH even had a hard time learning everything. I was surprised that they know how to do everything without even told how to. They were telling me all the type of dresses and stuff that they do. They already know what they are doing as they help many brides.Welcome New Vendors
