How much is your hall in total and how much is the whole wedding?

yea slightly over here....we went in thinking we would have a $10,000....and ummm...soooo not happening. Realisticly closer to $20,000.

Yes! Freaking out over here! We have to come up with about $5000 before October 2. We have a great budget, but we're still over by approximately $5000. Ugh. I work in a restaurant and I keep picking up shifts to make extra $$ to add to the wedding fund. Today my parents made some kind of comment saying they could have given me the $$ they're putting toward the wedding for a down payment on a house. They never put that offer on the table. If they had, we might be having a very different wedding...

i do sometimes and then i go on those financial calculators and figure out how much I will have by then wedding if we keep saving at this speed. It makes me feel slightly on the ball

It is so hard to formulate a budget before going to see places and knowing exactly when you want to have the wedding.
We planned on a $20k budget and so far the hall has cost more than that.
I found it really hard to have a realistic budget until after we started pricing out halls and photographers.

FH has been unemployed for 2 years and picking up odd jobs here and there so it definitely has been a struggle. So far it doesn't look tooooo horrible lol.

our hall alone is costing us $18 thousand. We haven't priced florist- photog- limo- make up and hair- dj-honeymoon- any of that yet- and it's 4 months away! Eeeee!!!!!!

Our hall was 12k Photo was 3k Video was almost 2k Flower almost 2k Dress $1400 Cake $795 plus all the other stuff ....

Wedding in total will end up being about 40-45k
I know how you feel, we are paying for all of it on our own.. I am a bank teller and FH is a bus driver... Thank God we've had a long engagement lol

we took a two year engagement.... and made monthly installments. It was waaaaaaaaay better for us this way we didnt feel the pinch... if they allow you to do it i would do it that way!!!!
