What does a typical dance lesson cost? Does $100 for 45 minutes sound reasonable or like extortion?

Hey...Look up John from Ballroom...he is a vendor on here and his prices are much more affortable than that. He is great!

That's a little high IMO...the package we're doing is 5 55 minute lessons (but we always get gypped with like 45 minutes ) for 375, so 70/lesson. A la carte it would be $90/lesson. We're taking them at Bet U Can Dance in East Northport.

I agree, John is great. My parents have used him before and DH and I used him for our wedding. I think it was $100 a lesson, though I could be wrong, but for an hour and he came to us. I think if you go to him its cheaper.
He is excellent by the way... our dance was great.

Thanks girls... FH is the worst negotiator in the WORLD and didn't even try to bargain with the people. Luckily negotiating is what I do for a living so although we already paid for the sessions I got them to throw in an extra for free

We paid $75 for a single lesson I know it was a little less if you did a package deal. It was for 55 minutes. Her name is Ann Marie she is in the city. I think her website is the wedding day dance?

Our package was $995 -- we had 10 private lessons (1 hour) and 15 group classes.

is 5 lessons enough? 5 one hour private lessons is $450 and 10 is $850 That's alot of $$$. He is very professional but he told too many stories and the clock was ticking! we get no group lessons with that. the first lesson was $50 this is don jacob's ballroom dancing

We took a package of 10 lessons, an hour each for $60 .

5 lessons is definitely enough. I kind of regret that we paid so much $, because although we learned a LOT (we did the Argentine tango), much of what we learned was unusable because of my gown. So yeah, it was fun and a great way to connect with (then FH), but I wish we could have concentrated a little more on what we could actually be able to do on the wedding day.
