How much are people spending on florists for a wedding of about 100 people. I have no clue what costs should be like.

it doesnt really work that way...it is more based on the type of flowers YOU use, yes the fact of how many people you have matters too but this depends on how many people to a table your venue holds and how many cp's you will need bc of it.
You can have 100 guests and someone else can have 100 guests and both of you can spend a COMPLETELY different amount even if you used the same person.
FLowers that are out of season during your wedding are alot more expensive and certain other flowers are just more expensive...roses are one of the least expensive .
You would get a better idea by posting what flowers you want, and also how many ppl in your bridal party to know how many bok's and things like that.

Re: Cost for Florist?
i'm meeting with pedestals on saturday. i'm having a wedding with 150. so, you can use that to estimate how much you need to alot for flowers. it is usually something like 8-10%of your budget.

Re: Cost for Florist?
My flower bill is lower because I don't need church/ceremony decorations or CH decorations. So it really varies. Also taller CPs ar emore expensive than smaller ones (generally). I was quoted $140-175 for high candlabra CPs. so it even varies from place to place.

Re: Cost for Florist?
I had 100 people so I had only ten tables and we were quoted from every florist about 85 per low centerpiece. For my boq, for one MOH boq, four BM boqs, throw away boq(free), church flowers and bows, 11 boutineres, 9 corsages, cake flowers for approximately 2,000 which was slightly more than Pedestals, but I fell in love with Laurie from LA Blossom's work. She only does one wedding at a time. And my flowers were so gorgeous. Everyone said the centerpieces had lasted so long after the wedding. Pedestal's flowers were beautiful too but the place seemed like a wedding factory and also when I asked for all black magic roses Pedestals wouldn't grant my request so that's another reason I went with Laurie.

try Burtons in Farmingdale. They base the price on what you need and how many, not on the type of flower, you can get whatever you want. I don't remember the whole package but this is what I got for $2200.
bride bouquet and throwaway BM's flowergirlbasket with flowers FH GM 10? boutenneries (sp?) 20 centerpieces MOB MOG pew bows 2 church sprays
