Cost for Flowers?

Cost for Flowers?

What is an average cost for flowers? We're having 3-4 BMs and 3-4 GM... not really doing a lot for the ceremony bc there is a lot of greenery/flowers there already... and we'll be doing centerpieces on 13-14 tables. I know a lot depends on what we pick, but I have no clue, so any ballpark figures would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'd say around $1500 to 2000 for low centerpieces and $2500 to 3000 for tall centerpieces.

It really depends were you go, the lowest quote I have gotten was $1750 and the and highest was $2400.
( I'm getting low centerpieces)

We ordered tall centerpieces and 4 BM, 5 GM, 2 FG, flowers for the ceremony and reception and we were quoted 3200.

Tall centerpieces are usually around $100 each and low are about $75 so if you go for tall that's $1500 just for cp's. Then probably about $400-500 for bouquets, bouts, etc...

Thanks so--- much girls! This is really helpful. ChristineAEid -- thanks for the tip on National Wholesale. I wanted tall centerpieces, but wasn't thinking that they'd fit in my budget. Now, I may be able to get them!!!

Re: Cost for Flowers?

I am going to a local florist and he is alot cheaper then most of these florist that specialize in weddings and he does great work as well. A friend of mine did the same thing she used the local florist and the price was about $1,000 cheaper.

Also another option is silk flowers another friend of mine did that and used this website and she will work with you and do what you want her to do

I am still undecided if I am goign with real or fake

if you are looking for quality flowers at a fantastic price, please check out Signature Florist. hmpena, leese, and I are all using George from Signature and we LOVE him (but he knows I love him more ) he made a sample CP for Hollie that came out spectacular.

I am paying less than $1000 for 10 low cps' my bo-k, 3 bp bo-ks a few extras, coursages, boutonniers (sp) you name it- George's pricing and quality are both top notch!

No, I love him more! Seriously, George is amazing! I posted my sample cp on here a while back and also on the cp thread on BHB. Definitely check him out... he is down the block from National Wholesale.

I agree that it depends where you go. Also the type of flowers you want depend on the cost. Most packages have roses, but if you want something else they charge you more.

Not all florists do that...(charge you by the flower) - for instance, National Floral, does not charge by the type of flower...yes, roses are cheaper than calla's, but you won't use as many calla's as roses in a boq or a CP - the price breaks at a certain point. Just keep that in mind. Obviously if you have your wedding in December, and you're trying to get a flower thatn ormally seasons in the spring/summer, you might have to pay more b/c the florist has to import.

that's pretty accurate - and on par with my prices from Flower Michele.

Re: Cost for Flowers?

Well, I'd suggest my guy cause he came in lower than all the 10 florists I went to (Burton's, Pedestals, National Floral, etc.). His name is George and it's Signature - and they are on Merrick Road - # in my profile.

I have double what you are getting and I am paying roughly $2000. Roses, Tulips, etc.

One thing - just at my MOH's wedding at Vanderbilt. It's amazing. She did a piece of flowers above the sweetheart table - and it was gorgeous... but you could forgo that if you wanted to save money.

Also, the Vanderbilt is gorgeous - and I really preferred the low CP's there last week. It was initmate and nice.

Good luck!

Thanks for the referral and the feedback on Vanderbilt. I FM'd you -- looking for more details on the wedding at VM!

Thx!
