I think that is a really good question!! The only thing I can think of is that they take more time with the bride for hair and make-up which could be the reason for the extra cost.
Once all companies find out its a wedding then miraculously the price jumps...and for no other reason than people pay it out for their weddings. Because that makes no sense to me either. I can't see spending $175-$200 on hair and makeup just for being the bride. Nuts!
I know I find it absolutely ridiculous!
well a lot of places if you are booking hair or makeup for yourself the price is only (lets say) 125* if you book atleast 3 bridesmaids hair for 65, or if it's not requried they hope you will book your bridesmaids hair as well .....So the bulk of the cost is on you because it is your wedding and they will spend more time on you but also because the typical bridesmaid doesn't want to pay 100 something for hair.....they spike up your price but when you add the numbers together and divide by 4.....its really only...in the case i just listed.... 80$ a person....or something that's close to the typical price you'd pay when you get an updo at a salon. ....it's basically giving the bridesmaids a break in hopes that you will spend more because its *your day*.

Yep I agree.....good point when you look at it in the total price! lol
Either way, I agree that it is annoying. Are you having them come to you or are you going to the salon?
