Hi Ladies Fh and i are trying to book our honeymoon and it is pricing out to more than i anticipated. I was just wondering around how much you ladies are spending and how long you are going for. We are looking to go to costa rica for 12 days and we have miles to use for airfare. hotels alone are coming to almost $5000 and that is not including all meals or any activities. Is it too expensive???

we are looking to spend under 5000. Looking to go to Riviera Maya for 10 days. We wanted to go next March after wedding but March is more money than April and May so we will prob hold off til then to go. But everything def is crazy expensive out there. We are doing all-inclusive.

i guess it depends on where you're staying. but that seems like a lot to me. Although, i don't think meals will cost you that much.

7 days at Sandals St. Lucia airfare+hotel = $6600.
i anticipate we'll spend another $1000-1500 on extra activities and tips for our butlers, etc, but we already got a little of that on our honeyfund

With the flights (which we can't book until probably the end of summer), it's going to cost us a little more than $5k. The resort was $4800 for the week.

Ditto! Would love to know what you've priced out, we'd love to do 1 week on one island and 1 week on another, let me know what you ladies are thinking of doing! and how much airfare will be, that's the part that scares me the most price wise!

We are doing 2 days in Honolulu and 4 on Molakai, and then a 7 day cruise- it total it is coming out to a little under 10k

Where does the cruise go? I dont want to fly foreverrrr lol im scared. I told my mom and FH if my fh decides to take me on a cruise anytime that hes planning on throwing me overboard- bc of all the honeymoon cruise stories i heard.. lol

We're planning on stopping in Cali for a night or 2 on the way there and the way back to break up the flying, I personally hate flying and there's no way I could do a 12/13 hour flight!

loll I'm the same way, HATE flying! I would def suggest stopping in Cali for a day or 2 then like we're gonna do, it's extends the trip too :) We loveeee San Diego so we'll probably do that and the pick another place we haven't been in CA and stop.

Island hopping- Kauai, Maui, Kona, and Honolulu. NCL is the only cruise for Hawaii in January

we are going on delta or alaska airlines and we are going to do the companion ticket for economy for $99 through their credit card and then use miles to upgrade both tickets to first class. It's 15,000 frequent flyer miles to upgrade per person each way. if you get the credit card then you get 25,000 miles each.. we are stopping over in cali for a night on each end since fh hates flying (even though first class helps a little with that!)
We booked the ncl cruise for the second week cause it leaves on a Saturday. Balcony room midship is costing us $3.5k and we didnt look at the excursions yet.
I'll prob look at the hotels in the next two months to get an idea.
