Hello, What is everyone paying for their invites & how many are you ordering?
I got a quote for 125 invites on specialty paper, including reception/response cards & envelopes all for $340. That's discounted too.
If paying cash, no tax.
Thanks everyone..

Re: cost of invitations
I refused to spend anymore money then I did on invitations, JMO but people throw them in the garbage so I didn't even want to spend as much as I did, but it was going to be about the same to make them ourself with the cost of ink and just time doing them.

Re: cost of invitations
I'm still looking for invites. I'm stuck between DIY pocketfold or invites with a black and white theme made by a printer which would be less of a headache. The invites i've looked at (i need 150-175) and i've come out with about $400.

Is that with the cost of ink or just the papers?

Re: cost of invitations
Mine was about $400 for 150 invitations including reception card, main card, rsvp, printing on the back of the main envelope, and lined envelopes. I guess it depends on what you get, the more things you get, the more it cost. The average cost of the actual card is usually the same everywhere you go.

Re: cost of invitations
I bought kits at Michael's with 50% coupons so a box of 50 cost $21.80 or so w tax. I used less than 1 ink (black) to do 50 invites so my 55 cost less than $60 before postage. The design I chose was about 5x7 no folds with a vellum overlay tied with ribbon. so it was very light and with rsvp card/envelope and 2 papers with directions it all went on 1 41 cent stamp with no overage due to being too thick either. So that's another diy advantage here. and the design to me was the nicest I saw even looking at loads of books and on-line. HTH

It depends on whay type of invite you are looking for. $1200 is probably ok for pocketfolds or something embellished, but kinda pricey for a simple invite.
try online at exclusivelyweddings.com invittionsbydawn.com willowtreelane.com mygatsby.com
Mine were nice and simple, but elegant: $320 for 150 w/ response cards, no reception cards and shipping..oh and extra lines and preprinted envelopes

Re: cost of invitations
There is a price range with invitations just like with everything in wedding planning. For example, how much is a wedding dress??
$340 is on the low end of the price range.
The price for invitations can range from around $400 to well over $3000.
It all depends on what you are looking for ... a simple traditional folded style (not necessarily of the heaviest cardstock) to styles that include ribbons, bows, rhinestone adornments, layers of papers, special heavy-weight cardstock, custom envelopes and pocketfolds.
