Cost of Invites

Hi Ladies,

I fell in love with these invites, perfect for our beach themed wedding. We are inviting 120 people, so I expect to order 65 invites. The cost would be $450, which si more then I wanted to spend. Am i being a Bridezilla? I them.

$450 includes:

65 handpainted invites
65 bottle labels printed w/ our names and wedding date
65 starfish necklaces to wrap around bottleneck
65 reply cards and envelopes

I would order bottles and mailing boxes online for cheap

Is this expensive compared to what others are spending??

While they are def pretty, think to yourself... how many people are going to throw this right in the garbage... The only way I would spend that $$ would be if I was big into the 'impression' factor, but I'm not... maybe you are and then that would make sense for you to buy them

ETA: I plan on spending about $200 max for 100 invites

with invites, envelopes, response cards, and stamps, we are spending about 600$ for 125

It depends where I want my wedding to be. If it's at the Crescent, it would be invitation #1 (95.00 for 100 invites). If it's Chateau La Mer, it's #2 (99.00 for 100 invites).

i'm spending way over that for my invitations. you spend what you can afford and what you feel comfortable spending! it's your wedding, if you love them, then get them!

That sounds like a lot, and you have not even added to cost of shipping and delivery!!!

With that said, everyone has a different budget. What sounds like a lot to me may be just right for you.

If you love the invites and can afford it, why not do it? It sounds like you have a small guest list so you probably will save money on lots of other things.

If this is what you want then I say go for it. It is your day and if this add to the special memories of your wedding, do it.

If you fell in love with it, do it. I got an invitation for a destination wedding in a really cool tube once. I wasn't able to go, lost touch with the bride but I still remember the invitation. It stands out and is very memorable.

Thanks for the feedback ladies. FH thinks I am crazy, but we are saving money in other ways (inviting 130 and expecting only 100, day wedding, no veil, low centerpieces, small bridal party, etc.) that I feel justified in a little splurging.

I am going to get them and he will just have to DEAl

Honestly, that sounds like a pretty good price for such quality (handpainted) invites and other goods. I would go for it! It is nice that you ony have to do 65 of each, I had to order/make more then four times that amount of everything
They are really beautiful

they are beautiful...but don't forget to factor in the added expense of mailing them as well....as compared to envelopes....if invites are important to you then go for it!
