Cost of mailing invitations

For a regular size invite (5x7 rectangle) should be regular postage right? Should I go to the post office to make sure?

It's also based on weight. So chances are, it won't be the standard $0.44

I brought mine to the post office and they were very helpful. When they weighed it the invite was one class, but after I put the stamps on they weighed it again and it had actually gone over!

they said that if we didn't weigh it again MOST of the invites would have either come back, OR they would have been delivered with postage due ...

my invites were 5x7, but because of the weight (pocketfolds, inserts, etc) it came in at 2 ounces, and it was .64 or .66 cents to mail each one
