Cost of rose petals...?

Hi Ladies,

My florist gave me good prices on most of my items...there is just one that seems high.

Talk to me about rose petals.

I have an outside aisle - I told her I want 'alot' of petals to blanket the aisle. It's really the only flowers besides the ones we are holding that will be out in the vineyard, so I wanted it to be somewhat dramatic.

She quoted me $250.00

Is this high?

I really want fresh petals as opposed to silk or freezedried, but if this is the price for walking on flowers for 2 minutes I may have to rethink it!

I think that is probably ok-- to give you a frame of reference- I believe on one florist proposal I got they were going to charge me like 75 bucks for rose petals to scatter on all passed food trays- for CH.

So A LOT- for the aisle- that sounds like a good price.

it may be cheaper to mix some carnation petals in with the rose petals - they do that on for better for worse and it looks great
