we're having roughly 100-125 ppl; id like a round 3-4 tier, fondant if its not too costly. the craziest filling id do is probably hazelnut. i love that old school traditional piping - nothing modern at all. we have a cake topper so i wouldnt need a fancy top made either. am going to start looking this weekend but dont want to be given some astronomical price and think its standard.

Re: cost of wedding cake
usually, the cake comes included in the price of the RH. but if yours isn't, a cake should probably cost around $500.
From what i hear, fondant adds about $1.50 per person (so for 100 people, it's $150 extra).
The hazelnut flavor should not add anything to the cost.

Re: cost of wedding cake
At the bakery we had to use through our RH, the basic 3 tier, round, buttercream frosting, vanilla cake with fillings was around $450 (which was included in our package). Fondant was SUPER expensive, it added almost $300 to the cake, (for a cake to feed 150) and then to have it square instead of round was an extra $50!!! Our decoration (just piped branches on one side of the cake) was another $150, the more intricate you want the design, the more it will cost. So we ended up spending an additional $450 just to have the cake we wanted.

Not sure. It all depends what you want. I hear Fondant is VERY expensive.
Our venue is providing our cake but if we want to add or change anything then it's extra fee.
