Costa Rica, or Belize, Grenada or the Carribean - decisions, decisions...

Hi Ladies, I am trying to decide where to go.
We basically want someplace with a beautiful beach, in a secluded location. We don't like crowds. We would like to stay in a Cabana, or room that opens right up to the beach, (must have A/C- Fiancee is always hot!) All inclusive is preferred, but a meal plan is fine too. I would love to go to Fiji, but we are put off by the travel time to get there, and we will only have about 5 - 6 days for our HM. I am in the NYC area, and we don't want to spend 18 hrs on a plane. Help!

i stayed at the occidental grand papagayo in Costa Rica. Its pretty secluded from other resorts. Its a bunch of little buildings on the hillside. It was all-inclusive, but small. FM me if you have any specific questions. You can find it on the Occidental resorts website.

I highly recommend Sandals Resorts!!!! I'm going to the one in the Bahamas and there are so many rooms you can choose from/service and view wise for your wants/needs.

I could go on and on on this thread about everything I learned from Sandals, but I got all my information from the Sandals web sites, my TA, reading books, and watchinf DVD's of the different resorts.

We LOVED Little Dix Bay in Virgin GOrda four our HM but when we were planning our first anniversary trip to COsta Rica, our travel agent told us about the secluded resort he sends honeymooners to, Punta Islita....GOOD LUCK!

We are going to the Inn at Robert's Grove in Belize. We are staying in a bungalow on their private islands for 4 nights and then we are going to stay at their main resort for 5 nights. We fell in love with the place for the private islands, but I don't think they have AC in the rooms. They are 10 miles out into the caribbean, so I think they will be cool enough...plus we are going in November.

I wanted Tahiti too, but we also want a house and FH is looking at grad school so it just didn't make sense right now....

We'll be staying in La Punta Islita in two weeks! Can't wait!
