Trying to pick a honeymoon destination. FH and I LOVE adventure sports. We are the kind of people who play paintball, surf, ride wave runners, go quading and sky dive (him not me!). We want to go to a place that has a lot of adventure sports and things to do. I know Hawaii has this because I've already been there and the nice thing about Hawaii is that I know that the safety regulations are U.S. FH has not been to Hawaii so I would love to show it to him. I loved it so much when I was there in Feb that I want to move there one day. BUT, I tend to fall in love with a place and go there again and again (I have been to Italy 3 times instead of going somewhere else in Europe). I don't know if I'm just doing that again. I was thinking Costa Rica could be good too for all of this stuff but I have never been there so I don't know. What do you all think? Has anyone been to these places or another place that might meet our needs?

I've been to both Hawaii and Costa Rica (Hawaii was my HM!!!) and Hawaii beats Costa Rica hands down!! I lovvvvved it there...I want to go back so badly and I already have a mental itinerary of what we missed like parasailing and kayaking. We did ride our bikes down Mount Holeokula and jetski though!!! Don't get me wrong, CR is beautiful too, but I think there are a lot more adventure sports and beautiful sights to see in Hawaii. And you're right to think about the US regulations...no passport needed either! JMHO

Thanks for the advice! I think I am leaning towards Hawaii. Which island did you stay at? When I was there, I went to Oahu and Kuaii. What hotel did you use?

You're welcome! We went to Oahu, Maui and Kauai and we stayed at the Hyatt (they were beautiful hotels!!) at all three. Our travel agent, Christina, got us a discount rate and the free breakfast buffet everyday because we stayed in Hawaii on more than one island and for more than 5 days .
