me and my DH plan are ttc in the summer, however, he has major baby fever!!
so I am on the pill but last week i on the last week during my period.. i was also on antibiotics... me and husband do not use another form of birth control and he had specific instructions... which he didnt follow... i know antibiotics lessen the affect of the bc pills but i have been on the pill for like 6 years now.... but since i was in the last week of no pills and taking antibiotics.. i'm afraid i could have gotten pregnant therefore i'm worried about still taking bc pills? how long after possible conception can I test? do i have to wair for my next menstruation or can i do it now?

I messed up my bcp pills too and since I thought there was a chance I was prego I didn't take them that month and the next month I found out I was pregnant...I would stop taking them and wait about 2 weeks until I took a test but honestly the work best when you have missed your first period! if I understand correctly, you had sex during the last week of your pill cycle and you're afraid to start another pack?
Since you were on the pills for the full 3 weeks, you shouldn't have ovulated. AND you were taking the antibiotics on the week you weren't taking any pills, so the antibiotics couldn't have any affect on the BCP whatsoever.
But all that aside, just given the timing, its HIGHLY unlikely that you could be pregnant.

I wouldn't stop taking your pills unless you get a positve HPT or you missed your period. If you stop taking them because you think you're pg and you're not you are putting yourself at risk for getting pg.

me too we are trying for the summer and i was on zithromax with bc i didnt use a back up and i tested 4 days later and i wasnt preggo. it all depends how fertil and where in your cycle you are.

Until you know for sure if you are pg, I continue taking the pill.
I skipped a week on my pill bc I didn't fill in the prescription. I got pg the week I started a new pack, but I had continued taking the rest of that pack. I missed my period, but thought it was due to stress so I started another pack on Sun. My body didn't feel right so I test that monday and got a BFP. I was 5 weeks pg and took the pill the entire time. I'm 21 weeks now and everything is fine with the baby.

The doc's told me that it is unsafe to take bcp pills if you think your preggo...I would check with them first... even though it worked out for others, u never know how your body will react to bcp pills if your pregnant! better safe than sorry!!
