Could you leave it out?? I think if it were me, I would just leave it out. Is your father known as 'the second?'

Thanks ladies, maybe I will just leave it out. He is not refered to at 'the second' on a day to day basis.

I would simply leave it out, no need for it, and it will look better. No one who 'knows' will notice.
