I saw the preview for the new show about most talented kid.
It made me think about all the things I dreamed about being when I grew up. I wonder if I had done this that and the other thing differently would I be in a different place with a different job and a whole different life today?
My family moved when i was in 4th grade. I found out later that my best friend from kindergarden to 4th grade turned to drugs and a very 'dangerous' lifestyle when she went to high school.
I guess I wonder if I had not moved would I have taken the same path as her?
I instead took up dance and went to a boarding school for a few years. I remember always wanting to be a famous ballerina.
Love my life now, just something to think about I guess thats more interesting (hopefully) to you guys than smelly feet.
If you could change the outcome of your life??? How would it be different than it is today?

Re: Coulda Shoulda Woulda
Very interesting...I think about this a lot. I would have selected something different in college. I've always wanted to be a dentist and never did it because I wasn't encouraged enough. I did go to the school for music performance-and again, wasn't encouraged enough. I might have continued on after school. I often think that my parents didn't instill enough words of love and faith in me to dare to become something greater. I feel like I've settled a lot and as a result, am not 100% satisfied with the way my life is. But..I'm healthy and happy so let the good times roll!

Re: Coulda Shoulda Woulda
its interesting that you posted this...just this weekend for some unknown reason I was thinking about how a certain action I took a few years ago was (somewhat) responsible for one of my friends leaving her then boyfriend and meeting her husband...and I wonder if I never did that thing I did...how would things have been different?
things that make you go hmmmm....
(and if my mom had shopped at KEY FOOD instead of Grand union ....)

Re: Coulda Shoulda Woulda
I always think about how I wish I would have been more competitive and confident about my abilities as a musician. I turned down acceptance to many schools when I was younger for fear that I would meet my match. My fear of failure lead me to not achieving my goals as a performer. But then again, I might now be a teacher right now, encouraging the students that seem to fear failure to take the risk.
