Did your venue tell you if your vendors needed to be licensed and insured for you to use them? I want to use a family friend for photography but she is not insured. I emailed the venue and I am nervously awaiting their response!

Re: Country Club Brides
My CC said that all vendors need a certificate of insurance. If your friend has home liability ins. she can get a certificate to cover her for that one day, there is a fee but it is not that expensive.

Mine does. I am sure most venues will require certificates of insurance for all venders

Re: Country Club Brides
Same as Mara. We are using an acquaintance as photographer and all she had to do was sign a waiver

Re: Country Club Brides
So after your friend signed the waiver they are letting her shoot your day without the insurance?

Signing a waiver takes the liability away from the venue. However it is not a good thing for a vendor to not have it. If they should accidently drop a tripod or a camera on someone's head your friend is in for an expensive lawsuit.
