Do I need a slip?? What is a good place to buy a corset? I heard online meschantes.com is good but I need to buy one since tomorrow is my fitting.

does your dress need a slip? does it have built in crinoline already?
remember the fittings are supposed to be done in accordance with whatever undergarments you plan on wearing that day. so you should get the corset or long line bra you plan on wearing beforehand, so that the gown is fitted to you wearing that exact garment. my seamstress sold me the bra i used for mine.
as for a slip--it depends on your dress. i got suckered into buying one--and it turned out i didn't need it. but every gown is different
i bought my slip from the salon when i ordered my dress....what did they tell you when you ordered yours? maybe you dont need it? I am going to need a good bra too so pass along any good tips on where to buy..first fitting for me is October!

at the very least you need to have your shoes, and your longline bra or other shapewear you plan on wearing day of with you at the first fitting.
I did not have my slip at the time of the first fitting. We ordered it after the first fitting since we weren't sure how large a slip I'd need.
I got my longline bra at macys.

I am off to find either a long line bra or a corset. I will definitely pass along any good finds to you.
I did read on a couple reviews a while back and I wrote it down that meschantes.com has great corsets but pricey.
I live in the west village in nyc and I think there is a store around the corner who sell corsets. I always see underware that says bride on it in there. they prob want a million $$$ lol.
