A few little things... are you girls who are doing the bo-k and garter toss having 2 garters??? I know my florist is giving me the bo-k that I will toss, but do I really want some other girl going home w/ my only garter? And if I DO get a 2nd garter, it'll prob be a something that FH is into - like poker - so is that the one we keep or the one we toss?? I'm a little confused on that!
Also... are you all having those cute ribbons on your favors that say your names with the date? I was shocked to see that they are NOT cheap! They'd cost me almost another $80 alone just for ribbons that people are prob just gonna throw away anyway. We do have matchbooks we're giving out so do you think that's good enough?
And last - where do you get the placecards from? Does the RH supply them? I'm doing photo album favors but they don't come w/ the placecard so I am not sure where to get them.

we are doing b-toss but not garters, at least that is the plan.
we are combining favors and placecards. we are wrapping our favors and putting the placecard info on top. no personalized ribbons. it depends on what your favors are and how you plan to display them.

you are supposed to have 2 garters..one you will keep and a toss one Im not having ribbons..im making a donation to charity and placecards you can get from the rh..or anywhere really...you just got to look! good luck

You can buy a very inexpensive garter to 'toss' if your wedding garter didn't come with one as a set. I've seen them at AC Moore for under $4 and they were very cute satin in ivory or classic wedding blue
I have seen that ribbon on many wedding favor websites and although very cute we opted not to use it. I felt that money could be better spent or go towards other vendor payments.
Placecards can be purchased almost anywhere. All the craft stores and place like Party City and Staples carry them. You can either handwrite or print them on your computer. They are inexpensive but check with your RH to see if they provide them for you! Saving where you can is always a big help

i am having 2 garters but its a set and comes together. Most do come like that, its a garter and toss garter, ill post a pic of it.
I dont know if ill get the ones with our names, i prefer the two toned ones with polka dots, or the all chocolate brown silk ones.
Matchbooks as favors? uhmmm ill be honest i dont know about JUST that as favor, usually thats an extra on the tables or something. Many don't smoke and the others take it home to throw in the drawers in case they do need it. If you give something along with it then thats fine
Rh does supply them but many do their own bc they want something that fits in with their theme, and a bit different.
You can pick up an inexpensive toss garter at a place like Michael's
If you like the ribbons, shop around you should be able to find them for a lower price. You could use a simple unprinted ribbon too.
Place cards should be available from your rehearsal hall or you can order special ones if you'd like.

LOL no no I'm sorry if I gave that impression! I meant we're doing matchbooks in ADDITION to our photo album favors! The matchbooks say the same things that the ribbon would say so thats where I was going with that - sorry

I am having an toss bouquet and I brought two garters so we keep one and they other gets tossed. Check Ebay because I got mines there for cheap.
