Couples Negril vs Swept Away

Couples Negril vs Swept Away

For those who are familiar with Couples resorts.. me and FH are having the hardest time choosing between the two.

We've reserved Negril, but now we are having second thoughts.. We have been perusing the message board on the Couples site and have not been getting enough detailed answers..

Also- we'll be there for 8 nights- so we were thinking we would do 4 nights one resort, and 4 in the other.. but I don't like the idea of packing up and moving..

Anyone familiar with Couples that can provide us with some help??

We went to Couples Swept Away and it was AMAZING!!!! I have pics in my HM review, also on the Brides Review if you want to see pics.

The differences as we heard them...

CSA is more healthy--there are more healthy food options, a large gym and workout facility (7 restaurants I think--unhealthy food available too, but they also have a smoothie/veggie bar, etc.).

Negril had a nude island, which we weren't too excited about....I LOVED CSA! FM me with any questions--we saw the outside of the Negril which was also beautiful but I would take CSA any day!

I actually saw your post last week or so..

I know people say that the resorts are sorta all the same.. but, I do like the idea that Swept Away is a little healthier.. since I am a vegetarina- it will be easier for me to eat there than just pasta and rolls.

I also thought the activities looked better at Negril-- how did you find them at SA?

I am more the type of person to hang out on the beach, but they had tons of activities, but weren't pushy to get you to join. Let's see...We both went snorkeling, and he went scuba diving (I had a cold so couldn't), we sailed the Hobie Cat...We went on the glass bottom boat, and went parasailing...We went on a couple shopping trips...We went to a restaurant on the cliffs and DH did the cliff diving...I took a Jamaican cooking class, and we took a couples massage class...DH went golfing, and played beach volleyball every morning...We also got a free massage for being on our honeymoon

At night there was a talent show, a movie showed on the beach, and the bars were always open...We usually just hung out with 2 other couples we became good friends with, playing pool and drinking at night...We also had a room with a TV which I was thankful for--it did rain one afternoon and everyone else was crowded into the sports bar which had the only TV! Swept Away seemed very 'me'--all the staff and other guests were so friendly, the food was amazing, and it was a very relaxed atmosphere. Not having been to Negril I can't really compare, but I LOVED Swept Away!
