Question: When you no longer want to do your highlights, what's the best way to go back to your natural shade? I have thick blonde highlights that I probably won't keep up after summer and my hair is naturally dark brown...best to buy a rinse or go to the salon? I'm trying to avoid having it turn that red shade that sometimes happens! Thanks!

Re: Covering Up Highlights
I'd go to the salon and have them dye back to the original color.

I did this once - I went to the salon and she died it 2 shades darker than my natural color - just to be sure that no highlights peeked through.

Thanks! I'm not doing it yet but it's WAY blond for me and I know I won't keep it much past summer. DH likes my natural dark color, too! :)

I'm the grammar police! I'm an editor. :) But I'll let it slide.
