soo idk if its just my italian family....but i haven't thought bout it because i feel like most people these days wear strapless dresses and dont cover their shoulders. but now im getting that i should wear a lil something and lilke get something made for the church! im like nooooo i don't want to....im trying to explain to them that people don't do that really anymore and its okay for the church not too.. but they like ohh no you cant show so much skin lol they don't believe me..ahh idk! maybe when i go dress shopping i can see what they have or have those ladies explain to them lol
is anyone wearing something?

In my church packet it says something about covering up but My dress is strapless and im not covering any of it up its too pretty lol

FH and FIL's are super Italian and Catholic (I was raised CAtholic, but not strictly like them) and they haven't told me I have to cover up. AND I don't think his cousin or their close family friends covered their shoulders either in their strapless dresses.

I won't be covering up. I'm getting married in May and I figure I'll be hot enough as it is in a big wedding gown...I don't want to sweat all my makeup off lol Also, I figure the veil covers the shoulders somewhat

I'm getting married in a greek church.... they're kind of strict, if they don't makeee me I'm hoping I can talk my mother out of it, but if they do, i'm getting sparkly straps made!

as an 09er I remember girls posting that their church MADE them wear a cover/bolero/something to cover their shoulders. I would speak with your church. Unless maybe they changed the rules b/c mostly everyone has a starpless dress nowadays.
