covering up in church?

soo idk if its just my italian family....but i haven't thought bout it because i feel like most people these days wear strapless dresses and dont cover their shoulders. but now im getting that i should wear a lil something and lilke get something made for the church! im like nooooo i don't want to....im trying to explain to them that people don't do that really anymore and its okay for the church not too.. but they like ohh no you cant show so much skin lol they don't believe me..ahh idk! maybe when i go dress shopping i can see what they have or have those ladies explain to them lol

is anyone wearing something?

I come from very italian families too.. FH also.

Im not covering up and I dont care what anyone has to say about it LOL!!

(ive turned into a bridezilla lately) ITS MY PARTY AND ILL CRY IF I WANT TO!!!! hahah

I was planning on buying some kind of shawl that goes with my dress. I'll have to see when I finally pick a dress.

I do plan on getting something though. That's more me than my family though. I'll just feel more comfortable.

my priest said the veil counts as covering your shoulders!

I didn't think about this. My church said in the packet that I can't have bare sleeves, but i've seen pics of girls getting married at my church with strapless dresses and no cover up. Maybe the veil thing will count! Thanks!

I called St Raphael's specifically about this because my big fat italian family were doing the same thing to me and I proved them all wrong!!! The lady's exact words were, ' Sweetie, just nothing too revealing!'...HTH!!!!
