CP dilemma

CP dilemma

Our RH gave us our cp's in the contract We didn't ask at the time but I'm pretty sure its a rental type thing...
I know that normally people expect to take home the CP at the ened of the night. If its jsut a rental that can't happen

What should I do to let people know they can't take home the CPs??

THe CP's they gave us wer included in our contract! It is a candle in a vase with sand a shells...From our last meeting with the hall we got the impression you could only rent them....

um..if the hall is providing them I would leave it up to the Maitre'd to worry about...ask your BM about that...good question!

Re: CP dilemma

how can it be a rental? Do they re-use the flowers the next day for someone else's wedding????

Mine is the same thing - its the vases they want to keep.

I wouldn't stress out about it! Make sure BM knows that people need to leave them.

I agree with all the above. Usually you can take the flowers home and you have to leave the vase or stand. Its the RH's job to make sure the stands stay....not yours!

I don't understand why they wont let you take home your CP's though. Did you tell them what you wanted? Or did they have a few for you to choose from?

I was told by my florist that the RH usually takes care of letting guests know they cannot take the vases, rental items, etc.
Maybe you should speak to your banquet manager to see what he/she suggests.

OK... so then maybe there is no wiggle room with this. Sorry!

A nice option is a Vase place card holder that way your guests will get to take flowers home if you really want them to!

I think so... I've seen fights! LOL

I do a lot of events and we have this one woman that makes sure at the exact moment the event is over... she swoops in and literally hoards all the CP's! And shes a guest! Shes not even the one paying! LOL

Re: CP dilemma

yes normally people do take the cp when they leave. someone from the table will start inching it closer to them about an hour before the reception is ending...which isnt normally a problem. if there is a rental stand or vase someone from the catering hall will come and remove the piece and place just the flowers which are usually in a plastic container on the table...at that point whoever wants it can take it.
