we met with the DJ last week .. and i was gonna do the CP give away.. but i think we decided against it. We have to go back monday though.. so i thought id get some opinions. I was thinking instead of doing that.. letting everyone get to take some of it home at the end of the night ... do you think the florist can do that??? split it up and hand them out to ppl, or someone at the hall?? or should i just do it the other way.. i know a lot of ppl said they are leaving early cause they have to travel (our wedding ends at 1:30 am) .. so i figured by then whoever is left can take wat they want.. i already have ppl asking who gets them..lol. pics of my CP in album .. My DJ was going to have a CP giveaway, but it never happened. It wasn't a problem. Just the people left at the end of the night took home the CPs, so this way mostly it was close family and close friends that got them, which made me happy.

that's what i was thinking. Most of the older relatives will probably leave early.. and those traveling home to CT or NJ who arent staying at the hotel. So the people left will be very close family and friends ... and most of the younger crowd probably wont care.. so my mom and grandma and aunt can probably take a whole one and then if anyone else is left.. maybe they can split the remaining pieces up.

we just went to a wedding and they did some kind of $1.00 game where you pass the $ around and who ever has the $ at the end of the song gets to take home the centerpiece

We had our DJ do the centerpiece give-a-way. They played some kind of game, like hot potato, but using a napkin. Whoever had the napkin at the end of the game got to take the centerpiece home.
It might be too difficult to have someone pull apart your centerpieces and wrap them up for your guests. My florist left shortly before our reception started so they weren't there at the end of the evening. You would have to check with our RH to see if they even do this.

my DJ did the giveaway but he did it not so close to the end of the night so that everyone was still there....i wanna say maybe an hour or so before it ended? haha this is just how i remember it anyway!!!

i told my DJ to do the giveaway. It's no big deal to me if he doesn't tho. Whoever takes it, takes it, ya know? But i think it's fun to have the 'giveaway' when I go to weddings. You don't need to wait until 1:30am to do it tho. My bestfriend had hers given away thru one of those fun, dorky games but it was at least 2 hours before the end of the night. People just waited until they left to actually take it.

You used Pedestals right??? Did you have to pay extra for that?? you can FM me if you dont want to post. I think that'll be a good idea since i already have people asking if i could make sure they can take one home... lol. It amazes me. ( and i don't even mean like immed. family like Grandmother and Aunts..etc... i mean like 2nd and 3rd cousins.. ha ha).. it sounds like such a nice idea.. your guests must have loved it!!!

thank you.. i have to go back there anyway cause i forgot to give them my grandma's rosary beads for my boquet.. so i'm def. gonna ask them!!!!!
