Cps

I am looking for alternative CPs I found this lantern that I like it is a pretty decent size. Do you think this looks tacky?

I think it's a good idea, but the lantern is a little shiny. Do you have a theme this is going with? Because then it might be perfect. I just have a thing against shiny.

it is pretty, but i do agree it will need something with it on the table. I am doing something besides flowers also.
I think you may need to put something around it to add to it.

i chose so-so ... i don't think it's tacky if it has something else along with it ... but if it's on its own, then yes, it's tacky

I think they are really pretty. I do think they'd need something else, but that could be something as simple as rose petals and tea lights!

I was thinking flower petal, and im giving votive holders as favors and i want them on the table as well, so there will be a lot there!

It's not tacky, my cousin had lanterns as her cps; her RH actually supplied them.

I used laterns that are actually much plainer than those IMO... I dressed it up by creating a scene around them... Worked well for a beach theme and my tables were BARE by the end of the night... EVERYTHING was taken from my tables... My cousin actually has a few of my laterns in her guest bedroom as decoration! This was my actual setup:

I actually love them as part of a sort of winter scape on the table. Depending on what you put around them, even if it's just glass pieces on the tables, it could look really beautiful. Since you already have all those candles on the tables, it sounds like you're going to have a pretty bright table though. You might want to do a non-flame CP just for some contrast.
