crafting question

for those of you who have already started DIYing ...

i am holding off because i'm worried about making things too early. i'm worried as the months go on and things are sitting around, they will start to look mangy, or the paper will fade or get brittle, etc. i'm probably overreacting, but it seems like it would be too early for me to start making anything.

if you are quite a few months out and have already DIY-ed, how are you storing your projects? there is so much i want to get a jump on, but i'm worried about having to redo my work.

I am in the same predicament!! I want to set up my flip flop basket but I'm worried the tags will age. For the few things I HAVE gotten already, I bought HUGE ziplock bags, like 3 feet square on amazon to store stuff up air tight.

I'm probably going to wait until the spring to assemble everything, just to be safe

I store everything in a dark closet and make sure there is no humidity. Also with paper products I use premium paper which is Acid Free so it's color is preserved and will not fade/yellow. I think aside from keeping out humidity and light you're pretty safe with doing crafts in advanced.

I haven't started DIYing anything yet for that reason. I'll probably wait until I'm 2-3 months away. Anything I have purchased already in terms of paper products is in a plastic case so it doesn't get damaged.

I printed and cut everything for my invites, and I'm slowly starting to put together all of the pocketfolds. If you buy good quality paper products, it won't fade.. especially in that short of an amount of time. I could see a few years, but not a few months. If you started now, you would be fine!

I'm working on my DIY invites now. And I'm collecting whatever catches my eye at Michael's on sale. I want to take my time on the projects, and I'm really enjoying being crafty so far!

I haven't started anything yet either. I plan to wait for the dead of winter when I have nothing to do lol

I'm doing everything now. I'm a procrastinator and if I hold off I'm gonna be going crazy trying to finish things.
