Re: Crashing...

I cried .. I cried first thing when I woke up because I was so nervous. Then i creid while my bridal party was walking down .. My BM and BA were fanning me and giving me tissues and trying to make me laugh so i would relax.

Then - the music changed and I knew it was my time. As soon as I knew something took over and I stopped and walked really slow (I had a long walk) and I composed myself and didnt cry the rest of the night! Even during saying our vows - I was so so happy and excited!!!!

Even if you cry - who cares. Its such an emotional day - people will think its soo sweet if you cry

Not a tear - almost though when I saw my flowers - but that was it. Think I did so much crying the week before, I had nothing left.

I won't speak for everyone, but from past posts on this, a lot of brides - myself included - were very emotional leading up to the the big and then barely shed a tear on the actual wedding day!

I was nervous, anxious, agitated, emotional, cried at commercials, the whole nine right before, but when I woke up on the day of, I was just excited! There were two points while I was getting ready that I teared up, and I teared up walking down the aisle, but no sobbing, no full on crying.

I felt an overwhleming sense of happiness! You will not be able to stop SMILING, because the day is finally happening and you're getting married.

I guess I don't have any tips really, but just remember that it's truly a special and happy occassion... take it all in as it comes

I cried but very little that day. I was so over the moon happy that I wasn't really nervous at all while I was getting ready and taking pics.

It finally hit me when the BP was walking down the aisle and my dad and I were waiting in the back of the church. The music changed to the song I would be walking out to and I just got so nervous and I started to tear up. My dad noticed and pulled a MetroCard out of his tux pocket and told me that there was still time to make a break for it. I laughed and felt so much better and walked down the aisle with a smile on my face.

ETA: And it doesn't matter- airbrush or traditional- your MUA will make sure your make-up will not be running down your face. I went into the ocean in my traditional make-up and it stayed put soooo yeah!

Re: Crashing...

I cry over anything! ANYTHING!!! I cry probably once a day (over a movie, book, hearing something sad or sweet, etc). sooo emotional.

I didn't cry during the wedding! I thought I would be a MESS. I cry watching movies or seeing ANYONE get married...even if I didnt know them! I'm that girl.

But when I got my makeup on, Oksana told me to look in the mirror when I felt I was going to cry so I would think of my makeup and not ruin it. I thought at one point that morning I was going to cry, and I looked in the mirror, and it did help refocus me to not cry.

During the ceremony, I definitely choked up a bit, but I guess I was so overwhlemed and it was so surreal, that I didn't cry! The first dance, I think I was too nervous about people watching us to cry. We were just laughing to each other about how awkward the first dance was. I was smiles allllll day...and again im a CRY BABY!

I cried at the end of the night in the hotel room when my husband gave me this beautiful letter he wrote me.

so you never know. Think about your makeup. If you have to cry, so be it. You'll fix your makeup or wear cry proof. Try not to stress it :)

Re: Crashing...

i cried when i first saw DH and then during the ceremony.

No tips on how to prevent crying, but DH had an extra hankerchef in his pocket for me. Everyone laughed when he pulled it out during the ceremony.

My make up some how made it through and then some. I actually could barely get it off in the shower that night.

Re: Crashing...

I cried when I read a letter that DH sent to me the morning of the wedding and again as I was walking down the aisle.

Advice: BREATHE. Breathe deep. I was looking at my MIL during the ceremony as I was trying to stop crying and she was mouthing to me 'BREATHE!' I took a few deep breaths and it helped a lot. Just remember to breathe!

Re: Crashing...

I thought I was going to be an emotional wreck that day. In precana the couple leading the class made everybody recite the vows to each other at the same time and I started to tear but on the wedding day I was ready to go. I smiled soooooo much going down the aisle & during vows. It was like we had our own private thing going on at the altar and it was beautiful. Maybe you will not be as nervous as you think but either way just enjoy the moment!!!
