crashing for advice!!

crashing for advice!!

Hi Ladies!!

I know earlier in the year there was a post about alterations at Paradise Bridal... some brides were worried about their dresses not getting in on time, and other issues.

Can any of you give me updates on how everything worked out?

I love my consultant at paradise, and would love to order from her. I don't think I'll need MUCH in the way of alterations, but I'm still a little nervous about sticking with them.

Bridal Elegance has the same dress, but the consultant there didn't understand my taste as well.

Also, once you've ordered, how often do you work with your consultant.. do they just hand you over to alterations, or do they still keep an eye on the process?

Thanks for the info. I appreciate you girls!

I know a lot of the 2011 ladies had issues with Paradise. Are the prices the same at both places?

The prices are fairly comparable, i just really preferred the consultant/atmosphere at paradise... that's why I was wondering if/how all those issues got resolved.

I know they got resolved, but the girls were under a tremendous amount of unnecessary stress since their dresses arrived waaaaaay late. A nice consultant can't fix anything when your dress isn't there.

Re: crashing for advice!!

I was one of those brides
They were horrible with getting my dress in in a timely manner and it came in 4 weeks before and alterations were a pain to schedule and i had to take time off work. My seamstress was the onlu good thing about that end of the process
My bm dresses had flowera under te bustline and sil were totally off center from manufactuer she went to her fitting pointed it out amd when mil picked it up it was still off center and she had to bring it back 2 days before the wedding bc they couldnt have ot ready any sooner

And when my mom went for her final alteration tge dress fit perfectly and all she needed was a hem they ended up taking it in more how i dont know and she could barely sit down at the church . Ps she lost weight between final fitting and the day of.

My dress alterations were great but when i picked up my dress for a 12pm pick up appt it toom them 2 hrs to have it ready wasnt even pressed when i got there and then they still didnt have my blusher on my veil
I have a friend getting married this weekend and her bm dresses came in only 2 weeks before

My consultant was the best part of my experience
Stephanir was awesome!

I would go somewhere else if i could do ir again yes my dress was cheaper but i would have rather spent the money and had a good experience elsewhere. You get what you pay for .

My best friend got her wedding dress from there and it was over a month late...the dress came in only a month before her wedding so she was rushing around to get all her fitting in, couldnt pick up her dress as a finished product until the day before the wedding

I am dealing with them now, they are fine. My dress came in three months early. I had my first fitting so far, and no complaints....

Re: crashing for advice!!

i would avoid purchasing from them

we ordered my mothers gown from there and while it all 'worked out' this is not something you want to deal with so close to your wedding

my moms gown came in late...came in with a stain on the gown

then at her 2nd fitting(supposed to be last) there was a pull in the gown, and it looked like they never even took the dress in, the hem was crooked

at her 'final fitting' supposed to pick up the gown, the gown was not pressed and she had to pick it up 2 days before the wedding

we wish we had read all the bad press prior to going there, it would have saved us a ton of stress
