One of my great guy friends is getting married in 2010, and he doesnt have a lot of 'guy' friends. So he was thinking about having 2 groomswoman. I think this is fine, but he was worried about colors and looking too much like 'bridesmaids'. Thoughts?

That's the great things about weddings...the couple can do whatever they want to customize it to their style!!
Would the groomswomen not be wearing the same dress as the bridesmaids? Maybe they could wear a black dress to match the color of the tuxes...

I think thats a really great idea, or even reverse of the brides madies like if the brides maids have on a pink dress with a black sash the groomswomen could wear black dresses with pink sashes. Just a thought

As long as his wife to be is ok with that, why not.
I think maybe they can reverse the colors of the BMs dresses. For example if a bride has pink with brown BM dresses the GW could wear brown with pink.
If the BMs are in two tones keep the accent color but make the base of the GW's dresses black.
Or you could have the girls wear suits or skirt suits.

I would say YES it's fine. . I had a male BM and it was fine. .
I would wear different dresses though. my DH almost had a girl as one of his GM and she was going to wear the same dress as my BM but to match the guys. . (in this case black) but you can do whatever!!
I would not have wanted her to look like a BM but similar is cool

I was in a wedding where there was a Best Woman, and she wore the same dresses that we wore but in black. I think that's totally appropriate - black BM dress or really, any black BM dress.
Times are a changin' - I think it's totally cool to do that!

I think its fine I just do not like when they are in female suits/tuxes. I say just put them in a formal black dress.
