Crashing your board today - no one wants to talk about WR things on the 08 board...

I'm going dress shopping with my friend on Saturday - she's going for her dress!

I'm so excited for her!!!!!!!!!!!!

She's a tiny little thing - 4'11', what dress type do you think looks the best on shorter girls?

Well i definatly wouldnt put a dress with a low sash on her... or a waist line that drops below the hips [if u know what i mean]

that will make her shorter..

I went to a wedding in 06 where the bride was an eeny weeny thing and she was in a standard ballgown type dress... it was absolutely perfect on her

hahaha I'm crashing too! I'm pretty short...and I thought a-line dresses and mermaids looked the best on me. But she should be careful with the mermaids unless she can order it hollow to hem.

Also, empire waists or dresses with no waists (like princess cut...with the seams running all the way from top to bottom) looked the best!

my best friend (MOH) is really short and when she was getting married she looked at a ton of different dresses - some of the ballgowns with really full skirts made her look like a bell or half a tiny girl stuck in a huge skirt. she found an a-line dress with a chapel train that looked amazing on her.

yeah I would say A-line dresses also. My friend is 4'10 and her dress was A-line. she looked great!

one of my BM is little too. I have them all in a t-length. She'll have to have it altered, but she's excited. She wore a floor length silk dress in a wedding St Pattys day and looked phenominal.
so suprisingly enough, anything I guess

yeah mermaid is more for tall people...When i went dress shopping they said it would cut me in half, i wouldnt go for mermaid

I thought so too at first...but I tried one on for the heck of it...and it made me look taller than the A-lines did. My only hesitation is that if you can't order hollow to hem, i don't know how much off the flared part will be cut off.

I'm short too and I found that a-line, mermaid or even a stright cut skirt work best. No drop waists though--they make you look stumpy

I honestly think mermaid. I am only 5'0 and that is what looks best on me! Plus if shes small it will look really good on her body!

most people said that it would cut me in half but I liked it the best!

Awww she's my height!! Actually she has an inch on me Fitted and A-line dresses look best on us little one's. I have the Maggie Sottero Jorie Ann. You can see pics in my album
