Has anyone else register with Crate and Barrel?? A third of my registery is either back ordered or not available on the internet anymore....I'm so disappointed!! My wedding is in November and will probably have to register at Crate and Barrel for new items..My bridal shower probably will not be until either September or October.
Just disappointed all the way around!

Some of the stuff we selected is also on backorder or not available. I know that C&B has a lot of seasonal stuff. I think I would update it at the end of the summer. Good luck!

My flatware has been on backorder forever. I thought by the time the wedding came it would be in stock. Well, I'm a month away and it's still on backorder. So, Fh and I went and picked out another pattern -- well I checked it on the internet and it's on backorder, too. I'm really disappointed and, although I love my everyday china, I would not have registered with them if I knew it would be like this.

Interesting - I registered last summer and haven't had any problems with things on back order or discontinued. I do agree though, they have alot of seasonal things so you may have to watch out for that.

I looked at my registry and I saw a few items that had red sentences underneath the item sku. So I called Manhasset store and this is what I got out of my convo..
The website and the stores have different shipping warehouses. So if say the website warehouse doesn't have an item, a store may have it. Don't get too worried if the item isn't online any longer. You can get it from a store shipped to you.
When an item says back order online-means simply only the website has the item on back order. Not a specific store.
When an item says Limited quantity available-means the item is not discontinued but the current stock is running low. This item can be found at a store. In the system they can tell you if this item will eventually be discontinued but at that time it currently isn't.
When an item says No longer available that means that it will eventually be discontinued. So there is limited quantity on it across all warehouses. Hence if a guest wants to buy you an item via the web that has that sentence underneath the item, they can call Crate & Barrel and inquire where the item is in inventory and they will ship out to your guest or whomever.

Crate and Barrel has lot of season merchandise...because of this things get discontinued frequently. I was told to keep checking the website and add new things regularly.
I too was disapointed to see a lot of stuff discontinued or not available...I guess as it gets closer to the wedding you can replace some of the stuff that is no longer available. Kinda stinks though!

Chloegirl call the stores. Don't just rely on the website to see if items are available or not. There seasonal items do get discontinued but they try to sell all the inventory in all the warehouses they have. So you never know if an item you really want is available somewhere else and you can exchange the not so wanted item for it.
