Crazy idea?

What do you girls think about having the ceremony on a Friday night at the church for just our families and then having the brunch the next day for everybody?

I was thinking about doing something like this when we first booked our RH. I really wanted to get married in my church in Brooklyn but it would be impossible (RH is in Smithtown which is way too far to have guests travel).

I decided against it though b/c I wanted to have that moment where I was all dresses up and FH sees me for the first time. I didn't feel like I would get the full effect of this...I wasn't sure if I should where the dress, get the hair and make up done, etc...logistically I didn't know how to work it.

I also want my whole family there to witness it b/c it is going to be the happiest day of my life and I want to share it with everyone.

Just my opinion though...good luck deciding.

omg i was thinking about the same thing!!! i wanted to get married with just a handful of ppl on sat.. then do the big reception on sunday...
