Crazy Registry Question

Crazy Registry Question

I am watching the Melissa Joan Hart wedding special on ABC Family (lately, anything having to do with weddings I HAVE to watch! I ran out and bought 'Father of the Bride' last weekend!) Anyway, on the special it shows the groom picking out giffor their registry at a hardware store or something. Of course my fiance thought this was the greatest thing! Has anyone ever seriously done this? He would love to register at Home Depot. We're planning on registering at Macy's and BB&B. Would thst be rude to register at 3 places? Be honest on what you think.

All I can think now is that we SHOULD have done that!! I didn't think about it until too late. I would do it if there is stuff that you need.

2 friends of mine registered at Home Depot. I think 3 places is fine. More choices!

Re: Crazy Registry Question

A friend of mine regitered at Home depot...since they just bought a house before the wedding...

We also thought about registering at Sears for tools...but the people that buy the gifts are women...and they probably wouldn't get the tools...I don't think 3 is too much...it offers choices...but remember the more you register for...the more you will have left over (and will want to buy after the wedding)

The Christmas before our wedding I put together a custom made tool box for DH and he loves it...

Re: Crazy Registry Question

We registered at 3 places, and we thought it more helpful than rude. One place was www.thehoneymoon.com, then we registered at JCPenney and Pier1. Three places gives people a range of options, especially if you have people all over the country.

I also registered at THEHONEYMOON.cm and Fortunoffs. However, when I worked at HD, there were tons of people registered at HD. I would do it.

Re: Crazy Registry Question

We registered at 3 places and felt it was more helpful than rude. We had people out of state and we tried to pick stores that would be convenient for everyone.

Re: Crazy Registry Question

I think you FI's friends might feel better buying something for him rather then a lacy table cloth. HD wouldn't have a registry if people didn't use it, right?

Re: Crazy Registry Question

I dont think it's rude at all to register at 3 places - your guests wil still only shop at one and they will appreicate the options.
