CREATIVE COMPOSITIONS (long)

I don't usually post vendor recommendations on here but, this time, I feel that this vendor is really worth the praise.

Creative Compositions is one of the recommended photographers at my reception location (Oheka Castle). I met with all the other photographers as well. Creative Compositions was the best choice by far for several reasons that, for the sake of brevity, I won't go into now.

From our first appointment at Creative they have been unbelievably helpful. Since I was coming from out of the area, they stayed open to meet with us until after 8 and, when we were late, did not rush us AT ALL (met with us for two hours). One of the owners himself (our photographer) Steven Bergano stayed and talked with us and looked through his albums with us, offering helpful advice. Joanne, the 'saleswoman/superwoman' showed us all the albums and talked us through the details of our wedding. When we expressed concern over the price she worked with us over a period of WEEKS trying to get us the best deal for our money. She negotiated with the owner several times to try and make the price more affordable. Shortly after reaching an agreement with them (before any deposit was paid or contract signed) my grandfather had to have open heart surgery...needless to say, we did not contact Joanne until a month later. We were so worried that our date would have been booked...but NO...they had SAVED the date for us with no deposit or contract! After faxing us the contract...the lawyer in me took over and typed up a two page addendum. I expected Joanne and Steven to refuse to sign it. Rather, they were perfectly willing to work with all of my requests. Then, again, my grandfather had to have surgery because his lungs collapsed and again, I couldn't get the contract back to her for a month. Again, with no signed contract she held the date for me.

After this whole long post, all i really want to say is that so so so many vendors have given me the run around, said one thing and then done another etc etc. BUT Creative Compositions has been so helpful and so honest! Their staff is so so personable and tolerant and kind. Their work is fantastic (the owner of Oheka Castle's daughter used them for her own wedding) and one of their two award winning photographers will book with you and be there on your wedding day (not one of 20 photographers where you don't know who you are getting). If you look at their albums you will fall in love with them! After looking at the same pictures of OHEKA at the two other Oheka Photographers...I couldn't book elsewhere!

Anyway, I hope this helps some neurotic bride out there who, like me, was searching for the PERFECT PHOTOGRAPHER.

Oh My God, Annie! I nearly had a heart attack when I went to read your post. I thought that your post was going to be a bad thing and was so happy to hear that it was good. I can't agree with you more about them. Joanne is almost my friend there now and I feel so comfortable that they are going to do an awesome job. They even wrote what they will wear into the contract for us- it is a black tie affair. My father is getting married a month after us and booked them too. So did my two stepsisters to be who will be married within the next year, so there are four of us from the same family using them. They even included a family portrait when we have kids in my contract.
My father looked at JOVON and I know they are awesome. But the sales person showed them a book and told them it was a certain photographers stuff whom they would be getting. My father and his fiance went back to meet with the photgapher and she couldn't identify which books were hers or which weddings she shot. My father was pretty turned off that an establishment like them would outright lie.

It is really great to hear of such a wonderful group of people. I have heard so many horror stories about other vendors, it was great to hear something positive.
