Creative Ideas for Place Cards

I have to do the place cards for my eparty and I am trying to think of something creative and different. What ideas have you seen or thought of for this???

My sister did the votive placecards for her wedding. It was nice because then you dont need to buy candles twice (people will carry them into the room and leave them lit on the tables). I'm doing the cookies as I posted yesterday. I've also seen little bags or boxes with candy in them - thats nice. Do you have any color scheme or themes going? You can coordinate with that.

My colors for the eparty are brown and pink and I have incorporated those colors into everything. My only concern with the votive place cards, are they hot when people go to pick them up? Is that a stupid questions

My sister was concerned about that... she had the people light them at the end of cocktail hour so that they were just lit and not so hot when people took them.

I actually did the tins of engagemints with entwined hearts with our names & date on them and i had a pretty heart shaped card (that had their names & table #) attached with a pretty ribbon. It was very nice & that way they had their favor & table seating. I had about 80 people at our eparty. And since it was on Feb.10th near Vday (as my wedding is on Vday) we did a V day theme. But my wedding Im not doing a Vday theme. Ive also seen the boxes of chocloates with names & table # on it.

I love the cookie and votive idea!!!! I think that the votives would look so pretty on the tables!!! Great ideas girls!

you could do the mini envelopes with candy in them, and put a sticker with the name & table number on the outside

you could do the mini tins with pink & brown m&ms or jelly bellys in them with a sticker on the top

you could do chocolate covered spoons with pink sugar or pink chocolate swirls on it wrapped in cello bags with placecard hangtags

since its spring/summer you could get flower seeds and do little envelopes of seeds

or you could order blank coffee packs and do seating stickers on those.......HTH!

Oh, I have another one. My sister did these at the place setting at her eparty. You get plastic spoons and put a few Hersheys Kisses on them and wrap them up with tulle and then tie a little paper on it that says 'a spoonful of kisses from the future Mr and Mrs'
