Creative ladies needed (long)

ok here goes. i need your help.
of course my dream on my wedding day is to be marrying my FH!
but i also have another 'dream'.
my other dream is to be able for my dad to be around to walk me down the aisle and dance with me on my wedding day.
my dad is only 54, but in the past 2 years he has had 2 heart attacks and often is in and out of the hospital with angina, chest pain, he gets angioplasty (every few months it seems) etc. so i feel i want to 'honor him'. i spoke to FH and he likes the idea. my dad is the light of my life (besides FH of course!)
i am an only child and was always super close to my dad and i still am. my mom is there for me but dad has been through so much with his heart...
so getting to what i want! (sorry so long).
I want a sort of speech (if you'd call it that). Right before the dj calls me & dad to dance, I'd like to speak to my dad (in front of everyone) and tell him how my dream has come true to be able to have this dance with him.
Any help ladies in wording this?
I really want to do this but would have absolutely no idea as to what to say.
Any ideas?

I am getting ready for work but will try and respond tonight if I can think of anything. Just wanted to tell you you made me actually cry....can you do this without bawling your eyes out!? Very nice idea!!

I kind of did something similar to my dad for his surprise 50th birthday party. I am the oldest of 2 girls and he is has been the world to the both of us especially since my mom is now more worried about herself and her friends. Old age I guess. So I did a speech in front of all of his friends and our family and I started off remenicsing on the past. The days he would do my hair in pony tails, when he would drop us off at the baby sitter, when he would take us to our first day of school, by this point I noticed the women were tearing! Basically all those times he was there for both of us and up until the day that I graduated from college. And at the end I mentioned the marriage thing and him walking me down the aisle and how happy I will be when my favorite man in my life will be joining me to meet the love of my life. Something like that. Then we danced. He loves to dance and he taught me so I danced with him before he started dancing with my mom. The most cutest thing is that he cried! I never saw my dad cry so it was emotional for the both of us. Once I started tearing when I was speaking everyone just started bawling! I started laughing and talking at the same time.
Your dad will love what you will do for him regardless of what you say. It is the moment and the thought that counts.

Jenn, my mom walked me down the aisle and I did a presentation to her, she boo hooed. I would say speak from your heart. No one can help you say what you have to say to your dad. Only you know what he means to you. My mom is a single mother and she struggled to help make me who I am today, I expressed all this to her. So I suggest you speak from your heart and your dad will be touched. If you feel you will feel more comfortable writing it down and reading it to him, do so.

and look at Susan Poltz (sp?) section with her poems and try and create your own from those..

You are making us all cry today - I just teared up too! I dont have much advice, but since you will be speaking so passionately from your heart, whatever comes out will be touching and honest. I even think what you said about having those two dreams is so sweet. I am so glad you will be able to have both of your dreams come true!

Ok i just want to say you girls made me cry...you too wedbabe. I'm one of three sisters all of us close..but me and daddy are so close...I go hysterical thinking about my wedding day and its over a year away
