Credit Consolidation

Can anyone suggest a good reliable credit consolidation company?

My husband and I are in a lot of debt and I keep hearing ads for 'free credit consolidation' and I don't know which companies are actually good at what they do.

Has anyone used a consolidation company? Please tell me the good and the bad experiences you have had.

Oh, and I don't live in NY anymore, so if you can help me with a national company or something I can contact online...that would be great!

i did it. i had my cards paid in 3 yrs. it doesn't ruin the credit
