Does anyone know what credit score one would need to qualify for a top of the line mortgage rate? Both my fiance and I both have a credit score of over 730 or better. Just wondering if this would qualify us for a good mortgage rate. Thanks.

Re: Credit Score
Those are great scores! We had a 740 and 720 and got the best rate that was offered at the moment.

Re: Credit Score
I think scores over 700 are offered the best rates, but the specific cutoffs probably differ with each company.
Typically, they'll use the lower of your two scores. You shouldn't have any problems.

You two should have nothing to worry about with those scores.

Re: Credit Score
those scores will get you whatever you need! Im a Mortgage Loan Officer for a major bank and i will tell you that credit is everything. I preapprove couples every day for much higher than they even want to go because the bank has very little limitations on mortgage amounts when credit scores are good...as long as youre putting more than 10% down...

Re: Credit Score
i want to say (not 100% sure) that anything above 720/730 is considered 'investment grade' i.e. one would qualify for the best rates...

Re: Credit Score
My Husband has a 775 credit score and when they checked it they offered him any type of loan he wanted right on the spot.
