Yes.. the a**holes that feel the need to lean into you or touch you. This has happened to me before (a few times actually) and you seriously just want to punch them. I was sitting once and although it was a crowded train it was not that crowded where he had to lean into me with his crotch in my face. I kept moving to the side and looking up at him and giving him dirty looks but he just kept leaning in my direction. There was a girl next to me telling me to punch him but i just sat there reading my book and eventually he got off the train.

Oh that's weird. It's not like you can even really say anything, because he's not doing anything except being too close, so you - at least I - would feel weird saying 'um, can you back up?'
sorry!

DON'T EVER BE AFRAID TO TELL A GUY LIKE THAT TO BACK UP AWAY FROM YOU. You have a right to feel safe. If you feel threatened in any way, walk away from the guy. If he starts following you then start screaming 'why are you following me' to attract attention and/ or help. I wouldn't punch they guy, you don't know how they would react, but I've done that before in a situation where I could get away easily.

I had a guy, um, (not sure how to politely put this, but I think you can figure it out) on me on the subway one time..so now I make sure that a man is NEVER touching me. Even if the train is really crowded and I have to piss people off to do so.

Re: Creepy Subway Guy
There are TOO many creepy subway guys. I take the 1 train uptown to Time Square and then take the shuttle to Grand Central and on so many occasions I would have a creepy guy come up to me and say 'you're late you're usually standing here before I get here and you take this to Time Sq.' It's creepy as hell that people know your schedules.

Re: Creepy Subway Guy
ahh I had my fair share of them when working in manhattan. one had his hand on my butt the train was so crowded I couldnt see and thought it was a book bag. then once the train started to empty I realized he was still there and it wasn't a bag it was these ugly stubly sausage fingers... I finally moved away and once I was about to curse him he got off the train.
